So, rather than simply running away from this villain, Quicksilver did something he’d always wanted to try.
This issue showed Quicksilver doing the ‘sonic flick’ for the first time against a lone assailant. He was testing his ability against someone he could have easily beaten if the attack didn’t work. But, now that Quicksilver knows that it does work, he can use it against a great number of villains at the same time if he ever finds himself surrounded by overwhelming forces.
