"For the first time since the inception of this survey, respondents' ratings dropped in each of the nine categories, and eight of the nine fell to their lowest rating ever,'' Zev Yaroslavsky, director of the Los Angeles Initiative, said in a statement. "What the pandemic couldn't do over the last two years, inflation and increases in violent and property crime succeeded in doing,'' Yaroslavsky said. It appears that the dam has burst this year.''

Having lived in LA for 21 years, I left in 2016 for Dallas. Haven't looked back. Quality of life & level of happiness increased dramatically. The California exodus for Texas & other states will only gain momentum in the coming years. Businesses are leaving & so are the jobs.
