In an effort to boost vaccine uptake, doctors from 11 Russian hospitals released an open letter Wednesday, inviting those skeptical of vaccines — and a number of prominent public figures in particular who are known to air their skepticism in public — to visit coronavirus wards and intensive care units with COVID-19 patients.Russia’s state coronavirus task force reported 33,558 new infections on Wednesday and 1,240 deaths.
