Even before the coronavirus the idea of a communal chalice is horrifying.
No one should be drinking from the same cup! Wiping the cup edge with a dry cloth between each person is not effective to decontaminate the cup.
Maybe give up would be a start. If the Catholic Church was a business it would have been shut down thirty years ago, what a dreadful organisation.
