Protests in response to George Floyd’s death have been happening for days, with more expected to take place today and through the weekend in over a dozen cities across the country by AndrewSolender

Organizers for most of the planned protests are calling for non-violent demonstrations, but protests in recent days have devolved into violence. In Minneapolis there have been violent clashes with police and several buildings have been burned, including the third police precinct.

In Columbus, Ohio, protestors stormed the state capitol on Thursday, while a“George Floyd was killed before our eyes — and we have every reason to be angry, to cry out for justice, to say never again. March for justice. This is a peaceful protest to gain awareness of police brutality against black people,” wrote organizers in Spokane, Wa.
