Hundreds of protesters gathered at the intersection where George Floyd was killed after a forceful encounter with police.

was killed after a forceful encounter with police ... and things got pretty tense.

The protest began Tuesday night in Minneapolis, with people lining the streets carrying banners reading"KKKops""Again?""Black Lives Matter" and"Justice for George." Similar chants of"I can't breathe" and"No Justice, No Peace" broke out among the demonstrators, who eventually marched more than 2 miles to a city police precinct ... with some causing damage along the way.

Come on violent protest on police officers that had nothing to do with the murder is just wrong at so many levels . Protest but pls be responsible and respectful of others around you, not just the cops but your fellow protesters their there to support you too!

This is shoddy reporting tbh. 'Some causing damage along the way' 'It escalated causing police to confront them in riot gear' explain better tmz so people can get a full grasp of the situation. Making it sound like raving animals protested which forced the cops to take action..

Please be careful out there ! We don't need any extra deaths or somebody injured going on

It makes me mad of how the police is trying to defend themselves, WHICH THEY CAN, but they are throwing tear gas at people who are trying to protest and defend a black man who was begging for air and it's disgusting to see the video of the officer who didn't get off when he died.

I am glad I don't live in Minnesota

We do not abide...

In the USA, you have those that believe in natural law to defend themselves well-armed. Then another group. Believes the government defends them and they don't have that right. When those the government entrust the power of the law. Uses it against them...They are in shock.

Why not just start grass roots political campaigns or actually vote in elections? Nah, let’s just protest because we’re lazy.

You want to make a change, you need to be protesting the US Attorney General to change police laws that punishes any officer to the highest penalty of a murder charge for these types of negligent homicide. Don’t just protest one man at a time, protest all so it no longer happens.

Where was the police during trump rallies

I am not in anyway condoning what happened, the fact that the police officer(s) had no regard for the mans life is indefensible. This however is not the way to handle it, especially in the current situation... this is putting many more lives at risk and will not get any justice.

But this is acceptable in Amerikkka

People please all four cops have been fired. Hopefully they get arrested for murder soon. Its moving in the right direction. NO NEED FOR THIS BE BIGGER BE BETTER.

Keep rising up

Ex-cop: Video of George Floyd feels like a monstrous rerunThe widely-circulated video of a Minneapolis police officer with his knee on George Floyd's neck is horrific, says law enforcement veteran Cedric L. Alexander. But in too many ways, it's a re-run of Eric Garner and the wrenching phrase 'I can't breathe' - and a sobering reminder, despite the firing of the four officers involved, that all police officers are only as good as their training and the culture that surrounds them. Opinion Throw them in jail Opinion I’m beyond tired of this bull 💩 JusticeForGeorgeFloyd Opinion NP
