SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The prosecution and defense on Tuesday gave opening statements in the trial of a man who is accused of causing a deadly school bus crash.
Joseph's lawyer said they do not dispute Joseph was involved in the crash but suggested the sun caused him to drive left of center ahead of the collision with the Northwestern Local school bus. "It happened so fast that at that point I'm just hanging on thinking that I've got to get through this," said Collier.
"I just remember the noise, the initial impact, going off the side of the road, going into that little gulley or whatever you want to call it, and ending up on our top," said Collier.
