Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT As an object of affection, it's hard to do better than Halsin in Baldur's Gate 3. The powerful, ruggedly handsome half-orc druid exudes charm, and he's generally a wonderful ally to have around. The party can first meet Halsin during their trip to the Goblin Camp, a major step in the main quest of Act One.
Personality-wise, Halsin is a caring and kind companion, and it's easy to raise his approval rating in a good-aligned playthrough. He appreciates displays of boundless kindness to people or animals, watchful care for nature, and interest in his druidic Circle of the Moon beliefs. He disapproves only of cruelty and a lack of compassion.
Also, while Halsin may be down with polyamory, not all the other companions at camp are. Gale and Wyll outright reject Tav having any lovers besides them, so getting with Halsin could hurt their chances of romance. Karlach is okay with it in Act One, but by Act Two, forces Tav to choose. Other companions, like Shadowheart and Astarion, are only open to the prospect if they approve of the other people involved. Luckily, they both have a soft spot for Halsin, so they'll let him stick around.
