Hours after the Princess of Wales shared the news that she had been diagnosed with cancer, the couple offered a statement of support. “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace,” a representative for the couple shared with Vogue. The statement echoes the one made by Middleton herself.
” Meanwhile, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson says that King Charles III is “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did.” The King is also undergoing treatment for cancer and has “remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks.” Yet it was perhaps British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who released the strongest-worded statement of support, criticizing certain aspects of the media coverage and social media conversation in the process.
