Prairie Pride: Pride Month celebrations in rural, northern Sask.

The Town of Foam Lake will be hosting its second annual Pride Parade, beginning at Ralls Park on June 11. Poster-making and marshalling will begin at the park at 11 a.m., and the parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. Foam Lake’s pride committee has promised a “bigger, brighter and better” parade this year.The City of Humboldt will be raising a Pride flag outside of City Hall at 12 p.m. on June 13.

The party starts at 6 p.m., and goes until 8. Later in the month, on June 25, YXE Drag Collective will also be performing at The Lands. The show will start at 9 p.m. Tickets are available online.Games and ActivitiesMeadow Lake Pride is offering a wide range of queer-affirming entertainment options this month. On June 13, trivia buffs can make friends and win prizes during the LGBTQuiz Trivia Night at Campton’s from 7-9 p.m. Then on June 16, there will be a paint night at 7 p.m.
