No one has claimed the $52 million jackpot, according to the Powerball website, meaning the jackpot will rise to an estimated $63 million for the next drawing, on Thursday, June 24.
Although there were no winners of the big prize, six people successfully matched four numbers plus the Powerball to win $50,000 prizes, with another five people winning $100,000 thanks to a Power Play purchase. A further 211 players matched four balls without having the Powerball to win a $100 prize. Eighty-one players tripled their winnings to $300 thanks to Power Plays.. That winning ticket was bought at a Circle K in Jacksonville.Drawings usually take place twice a week on a Wednesday and Saturday night, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Each draw is broadcast live from the lottery studio which is located in Tallahassee, Florida.
Players select five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each ticket costs $2 per play.
