One lucky player of the Powerball scooped the grand prize jackpot of $286 million on June 5 this year.

The last grand prize winner was on Saturday 06/05/21 and that lucky player scooped a jackpot of $286 million. The winning ticket was sold in Jacksonville, Florida, at a Circle K convenience store.

Powerball is a multi-state lottery that's usually played every Wednesday and Saturday. It's one of the nation's two biggest lottery jackpot games, along with Mega Millions. Powerball jackpots start at $20 million, while there are prizes paying between $1 million to $2 million with a Power Play. Powerball tickets cost $2. If a player matches all five white balls minus the Powerball, the prize is $1 million and this can be multiplied if power play was purchased.
