Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT There have been dozens of evil Power Rangers in the franchise, from legendary characters like Mighty Morphin’s Green Ranger to newer additions like Cosmic Fury’s Blue Ranger. Although there are some great Power Rangers villains, it was difficult for the show to introduce threatening antagonists considering the episodic nature of it.
8 Void Knight An alien Ranger with a compelling mission Close Whereas almost every evil Ranger in Power Rangers only opposed the heroes for a couple of episodes, Void Knight was Dino Fury’s main antagonist for more than one season. While it can be argued that Void Knight was not a traditional Power Ranger, he had a morpher and needed to tap into the Morphin Grid to use his powers.
The Thunder Rangers had one of the coolest character designs in the franchise, particularly regarding their shields. Crimson red and blue navy are not particularly common Power Rangers colors either, which made Hunter and Blake’s Ranger forms even more impactful. Unlike many evil Rangers, the Thunder Rangers were not brainwashed by magic or gadgets. Instead, they truly believed the Wind Rangers were their enemies, which made their rivalry personal and raised the stakes for the series.
5 A-Squad Rangers Ranger deserters who aligned themselves with the villain Close Power RangersS.P.D.’s B-Squad, the characters viewers followed during all of the show, were not supposed to become Power Rangers. This honor was originally given to the A-Squad, but they were sent on a mission from which no one came back. Although it appeared that the original S.P.D. Rangers had been killed in combat, it turned out that the team betrayed the S.P.D.
Ollie had been a divisive character in Dino Fury, but the decision to make him a temporary villain in Cosmic Fury was met with a lot of praise. In addition to Kai Moya’s performance and the great fight scenes involving the character, evil Ranger Ollie had a fantastic suit that belongs in the list of Power Rangers’ best costumes. In a season defined by original, controversial Power Rangers suits, Ollie’s evil Blue Ranger costume stood out and felt like it was from a Super Sentai show.
Dino Thunder acknowledged the similarities between the stories of Tommy and Trent by having Dr. Oliver vouch for the White Ranger. Tommy knew exactly what Trent was going through and made sure that the Power Rangers would not give up helping. In addition to his well-written story, Dino Thunder’s White Ranger made his mark on the franchise thanks to an instant classic costume that stood out from those of the other characters.
