But he stopped short of signaling the start of a more aggressive easing campaign. Instead, the Fed chairman used a widely anticipated speech Friday to warn about the limits that monetary stimulus faced in comprehensively addressing business-confidence woes and market turbulence.

Yes, let’s provide more stimulus packages to the banks and auto industries, that worked out well. If you really want a stimulus package, reduce some student loans so people in their 20’s and 30’s don’t have to live paycheck to paycheck and can actually participate in the economy.

There is enough economic data for the Fed to warrant a rate cut, Jim Cramer says'The economy may be in good shape now, but if we keep getting more and more tariffs it could deteriorate,' Jim Cramer says. He is scared his portfolio will sink otherwise. These crooks care less for anything else. When the FED cuts to 2 they will signal leaning to patience and the market will drop. Powell will be satisfied. Cue the flashbacks to 2008-2010 when Cramer was warning of hyperinflation. 🤡

It wouldn't be surprising if the Fed cuts rates, policy expert saysPresident Trump continues to blast the Fed and Chairman Powell for not moving fast enough to lower interest rates. This comes as Fed officials get ready to gather at the annual Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium. Nellie Liang, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, and Vincent Reinhart, chief economist at BNY Mellon, join 'Squawk Box' to discuss. This is mostly right but I think it still overstates the potential benefit of a rate cut. Rates are not high enough to be slowing the economy and we already proved that ZIRP and QE don't matter. And Japan and Europe prove it every day. If the economy is strong, why does it need support? Blah blah many people are saying babble babble biggest crowd ever blather blather jews love me blah blah

European stocks rise ahead of Powell speech on interest ratesGood morning. * Financial markets are waiting for Jerome Powell's speech, and stock futures are higher. * That's pretty much it. The market has no fundamentals. It's based solely on central bank policy. There is no such thing as free market capitalism. And people wonder why, in 2019, socialism is still embraced.
