Carlos Yadiel Baez-Nieves is in Orange County Jail on two counts of First Degree Murder. He's charged with the murders of Fatia Flowers, 41, and Nichole Daniels, 44. "He had sex with them and strangled them to death," the sheriff's office said in a release. "Then he drove to an intersection, pushed their lifeless bodies out of his truck, and drove home."

According to the sheriff's office, Baez-Nieves "targeted the most vulnerable women he could -- transient women who traded sex for money."“I’m confident that through their vigilance in these cases, our detectives have prevented Baez-Nieves from becoming a prolific serial killer,” said Sheriff John Mina. “Baez-Nieves clearly targeted women he thought wouldn’t be missed. He murdered them and dumped them on the side of the road like trash.
