has announced plans to open a new store in October at 134 Oak Park Drive, just south of Boerne's historic downtown. An exact opening date will be announced later. The new location will be the brand's sixth cafe, joining four locations in San Antonio and one in Austin. “We are very excited to be opening up shop in Boerne,” chef and co-owner Anne Ng said in a news release. “Boerne feels like a natural fit for Bakery Lorraine, and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the community.”

Ng and fellow chef Jeremy Mandrell mastered the pastry arts while working together at famed chef Thomas Keller's Napa Valley establishment Bouchon Bakery. After moving to San Antonio, they teamed up with operator Charlie Biedenharn to launch Bakery Lorraine in 2011. In addition to brightly colored French macarons, Bakery Lorraine also serves elaborate pastries and upscale brunch and lunch options.
