Pop-up exhibit based on Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ opens Saturday at Grapevine Mills mall

Updated at 6:15 p.m. May 20 with the store opening on Saturday, May 21.fans: Take a step back in time and visit the fictional town of Hawkins in North Texas starting Saturday.

Netflix said in a press release that the shop will open Saturday at 10 a.m. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fans will be immersed in a world of supernatural mystery, enduring friendships, and 80s nostalgia in a one-of-a-kind celebration of the Stranger Things universe. Guests will be able to explore Stranger Things’ most iconic locations, get up close to a hidden Demogorgon, take photos inside Joyce’s House, shop in the Starcourt Mall, avoid the Rift in the Lab, play games at the Palace Arcade, and take home exclusive merchandise only available at the pop up.

“Take a peek at the lockers of Hawkins High, answer the yellow phone at Joyce’s house, play games at the Palace Arcade, and take a stroll through the Russian Lab, if you dare,” the store’s website says. “Just know that you might come face to face with a Demogorgon — don’t say we didn’t warn you!”season four on Friday, May 27. The show stars Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder and Finn Wolfhard, among others. Volume two will follow on July 1.

The Stranger Things Store has appeared in New York City and Los Angeles. The pop-up event in Grapevine is one of two coming to Texas, with the other slated for Houston.
