The Supreme Court’s standing with the American public has dipped over the past year, as the high court and its makeup have taken on greater prominence in fractious political debates

Close to 40 percent disapproved of the Supreme Court’s job performance, according to Wednesday’s poll, up from 33 percent nearly a year. The court was still the most trusted of the three branches of the federal government, an image it has long sought to cultivate by positioning itself as above the partisan fray.

GOP respondents’ support for the court was down substantially from last September, when it registered 80 percent job approval, while the results for independents and Democrats were largely unchanged.install Amy Coney Barrett

When will people begin to understand the purpose of the court. To interpret and apply the laws on the books. Not to vote on them.

法律政治化,就像美国的其他行为也政治化一样!美国价值观就是一切政治化!

When you have 2 justices credibly accused of rape, and another 2 with stolen seats, that also go against the will of the majority of the country? Yeah, the word illegitimate comes to mind.

Our Supreme Court has turned into partisan politicians dressed in black robes

What a shock. The media mouthpieces for Democrats have done a stellar job of politicizing (negatively) the newest additions to the court. Breathlessly reporting the downfall of every left wing policy (none have occurred).

That’s interesting considering the recent rulings have been mostly mild despite the hoopla about the conservative majority

Supreme Court is compromised. It is nothing like it used to be. Everything is partisan and has nothing to do with rule of law.
