One year after a restrictive abortion law took effect, a poll shows a majority of Texans surveyed say they support abortion access in most or all cases. Many say the issue will motivate them to vote.

"We've known that politicians in Texas and across the country have been enacting harmful abortion bans. We've known that they've been out of step with what Texans want, and now we have the data to prove that," said Carisa Lopez, senior political director for the Texas Freedom Network, one of several reproductive rights groups that commissioned the poll.

WhirledCitizen_ Glad to see 60% of Texas voters support womens' rights and not the anti-choice nonsense. Now that 60% must vote like they mean it. RoeRoeRoeYourVote VoteBlueIn2022 VoteThemOut in Texas

That is surprising

Can we have some continuity with displaying the numbers here? six in 10 🤦‍♂️

very tragic sad to use abortion as your birth control. diabolical and wicked to use abortion as your death cult human sacrifice. don't want to have a baby? be responsible use prevention

🤣🤣🤣🤣 GovAbbott you are the weakest link. Goodbye.

Choice election amen

The only surprise here, IMO, would be support among Latinos who are mostly Catholics and who have been most staunchly opposed to abortion as an article of faith.

Um. It is Planned Parenthood survey. Traditionally considered junk. If Camel Cigarettes emails your editor a survey on how cigs are now considered super healthy, how soon can you turn that around and get it on your TL? JonahDispatch

I think it's so wonderful that we use the Public tax dollars that support NPR to promote abortion. But, then again, they are jus the propaganda arm of the DNC that wants one-party rule and all other radio stations off the air.

My unofficial poll numbers are just the opposite. I couldn’t find anyone who wants to kill babies. I reckon we’ll find out in November.

Let’s flip Texas

11%

F SCOTUS

You polled Austin, not the entirety of Texas

They say that, then they vote for Ted Cruz.

religion is a disease

Its killing babies !

It just shows ppl don't want to live under a theocracy pushed by religious zealots on the SC.

Hopefully this can show what living in an echo chamber does to politics for future generations. Also how the need for the press to “both sides” every issue is terrible and needs to stop.

All as in rape or threat to mothers health? Most as in booty calls gone wrong where precautions weren’t taken?

Im sure the poll is accurate......lets ask Hillary.
