Migrants flown to Martha's Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were voluntarily taken to Joint Base Cape Cod, one of Massachusetts’ designated emergency shelters. The military wasn't involved in the move.

That’s because at no point was the military involved in the journey, said Iván Espinoza-Madrigal, the executive director of the group Lawyers for Civil Rights in Boston.

"Absolutely not. I personally escorted the migrants from the church in Martha's Vineyard to the base in Cape Cod. Lawyers for Civil Rights was involved in every step of the process, and it was seamlessly carried out with dignity for each individual and child," said Espinoza-Madrigal."They are now safely in the base, where they can have faster and easier access to resources and support.

Espinoza-Madrigal also said the immigrants are not being detained there."They are 100% voluntarily at the base," he said.that it is representing more than 30 of the immigrants, and it is also pushing for legal action against DeSantis and others, accusing them of using false pretenses to lure the immigrants onto a plane to cross state lines. An Instagram post Martha’s Vineyard"used the military to deport every last illegal migrant from their island.

That is not what happened. The Massachusetts governor, in coordination with state and local officials, offered to move the migrants, on a voluntary basis, to Joint Base Cape Cod, a military base that’s also one of the state’s designated emergency shelters. The site has the space to care for the immigrants that Martha’s Vineyard does not. The military was not involved in the voluntary transport.

In the context of immigration, a deportation refers to the removal of a person from the United States, not the relocation of people within the country.

'we didn't deport them, we just removed them from here and placed them somewhere else' expert level shilling right here, clowns. 🤡

Who flew them from Venezuela? What do you start the story halfway?

JeffCercone feeding his mental gymnastics addiction and pathological lying ways. “ThE MiLiTaRy wAsN’T iNvOlvEd iN ThE mOvE” 🤡

The military wasn’t involved in the move? Did the migrants just sneak into the base? Last time I checked, the military are involved in letting people on their bases

Gotta love how Politifact will “fact check” random tweets, but are mostly silent when Biden, KJP, Ron Klein, etc. abuse the truth.

It's a military base......the military is involved.

Yeah they totally 'voluntarily' got taken to a military camp.

PolitiFact - Claim that Martha’s Vineyard ‘deported’ migrants is wrongThe migrants flown to the island of Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were moved to a temporary shelter in a neighboring Massachusetts county. They weren’t removed from the U.S. 😂 the claim on the right is that the well off liberals in Martha’s Vineyard who are more than capable of helping financially are hypocrites and called in the National Guard and got them out of there in less than 24 hours after scolding DeSantis for bussing them out of Florida

Ron DeSantis were moved to a temporary shelter in a neighboring Massachusetts county. They weren’t removed from the U.S. Of course they weren't, since they are here LEGALLY seeking asylum from the murderous Maduro regime. And the people of MV offerred so much help, the police had to ask them to stop. But naturally, that doesn't stop the RW gaslighting in the least. The democrat sanctuary city called in the National Guard and had the migrants removed in less than 44 hours.
