The Italian government entered in a beef with Stellantis in regards to Italian labeling

The Italian financial police seized 134 units of the Fiat Topolino at the port. The reason for the seizure is the small Italian flag stickers on the doors which are said to mislead customers about the product's origin. The Fiat Topolino is produced in Morocco, alongside the Citroen Ami and Opel Rocks Electric. Italian authorities seized 134 units of the Fiat Topolino at the port of Livorno, due to a tiny sticker with the Italian flag on the bodywork of the EV.

According to the company, the small Italian flag sticker on the profile of the EV had the sole purpose of indicating the entrepreneurial origin of the product, signifying it was designed by the Fiat Centro Stile in Turin. Still, Stellantis agreed to remove the Italian flag stickers to resolve the issue. Following their seizure by the Guardia di Finanza and Italy's Customs and Monopolies Agency, the 134 EVs remain in storage at the port, until the prosecutor issues a release order.
