Investigators in Monmouth County on Wednesday asked the public for help in the cold case killing of 19-year-old Bradley Beach man gunned down in a car more than seven years ago.in the chest about 8:18 p.m. on Feb. 8, 2016, as he sat in the driver’s seat of a car on the 1300 block of 7th Avenue in Neptune Township, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
Thorne was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. He was less than a month shy of his 20th birthday.Information about the passengers was not released, including whether one or both are considered suspects in the shooting. A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Neptune Township Police Department remains active and ongoing.
“Despite the passage of over seven years since the murder of Andre Thorne, detectives from my office and the Neptune Police Department refuse to let the case grow cold,” Santiago said in a statement. “It is our sincere hope that those efforts motivate individuals in our community to come forward with any information that they may possess.”
