Police: Man gunned down while carrying baby in Philadelphia

Police say a man in his 30s was shot multiple times throughout the body. He was rushed to an area hospital where he later died.

The infant was in a baby carrier at the time of the shooting. Police have not said if the infant suffered any injuries.No further information on the shooting was immediately available.Police say a 21-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male are all expected to survive after being shot around 4 p.m.

Officers found the 21-year-old victim who was reportedly hit by stray gunfire near the 3000 block of Page Street. Roughly 17 spent shell casings were found about a block away. An 18-year-old victim was found on the 1400 block of Corlies Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He told police he was shot near the 3000 block of Page Street.

And police say the 17-year-old male also showed up at the hospital in connection with the shooting on Page Street. Police say he is being held as a prisoner.There was no immediate word on their conditions.Anyone with information in connection with these shootings is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
