Taking to his social media pages on Thursday, the 48-year-old shared a picture of a note, which read: "I am delighted to announce that I will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year! I can't wait to not start rehearsing.

Yes I’d absolutely love to see richardosman on bbcstrictly at least then I’d know one of the celebrities. He does seem quite excited not to be taking part though so I think it’d be a hard sell.
Richard Osman is fabulous but would there be a Strictly Pro tall enough to partner him?
