Plano’s public pools are now open for the summer season through Labor Day.

In addition to regular programs and hours, multiple pools are hosting Sensory Friendly Days.

The program provides exclusive pool times for children with autism and sensory processing differences. Sensory Friendly Days offer children a “fun, interactive learning experience in a comfortable environment,” according toSensory Friendly Days take place at multiple locations June 5 through Aug. 7. A schedule for the program is availableParticipants in the sensory program are welcome to stay once the pool opens to the public.Pool admission is included with a recreation membership.
