Box Office Pro editorial director and senior vice president of content strategy Daniel Loria told FOX Business that there haven't been many data points to accurately forecast families' movie-going habits post-pandemic.
"Top Gun: Maverick" is based on the Navy's Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program, commonly referred to as TOPGUN. This image released by Disney/Pixar shows character Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Chris Evans, and Sox, voiced by Peter Sohn, in a scene from the animated film"Lightyear," releasing June 17.

That's because Disney is going to insanity and beyond.
Tim Allen is the reason. Can't have buzz without Tim.
So you want to be woke? How did that turn out?
My family is boycotting Disney. Go woke go broke m…….
Suck it up! The LGBT is everywhere now and it’s not going away. Deal with it!
The problem is the intended audience is not kids but those who were kids when the first movie came out. Time travel, changing time lines, duplicated characters are not kids fare -not to mention throwing gay stuff which did nothing to advance the plot. Not bad but a market miss.
GoWokeGoBroke
It’s been turned into garbage
That’s what happens when you force woke agendas in kids movie
Maybe Disney you’ve just gone too far with your wokeness. You’re audience is little kids, so stop pushing the gay thing. It ain’t working!
Disney says they will push their agenda into every film, regardless if people like it or not then they wonder why people respond with the wallets and refuse to have that agenda pushed on them.
