Outside of Columbus City Hall, a total of 800 pinwheels were planted by volunteers to highlight an important message for Child Abuse Awareness Month A crucial effort is underway this month to bring awareness to the painful realities of child abuse .
"It signifies a cleaner and healthier world that we inspire to have for the kids," a volunteer told ABC 6. "It’s important for people who aren’t able to defend themselves that have people who are in their corner to defend them."
