Singer-songwriter Pink has offered to pay fines handed out to the Norwegian women's beach handball team after they refused to wear bikini bottoms while competing.
Last week, the European Handball Federation fined the team a total of €1,500 , asserting that the women competed in"improper clothing" by wearing shorts like their male counterparts during the 2021 European Beach Handball Championships. On Sunday, Pink took to Twitter to lend her support to the team, saying the EHF should be fined"for sexism.

I‘m starting to doubt that the EHF board who made these rules are a bunch of lonely men who couldn’t get a pretty girl‘s attention in school, so they took into their own hands to make girls „strip“ for them by law.
Men are allowed to wear shorts because a speedo would impede their game. Women must wear bikinis because women are only there to be viewed. It’s obvious. sarcasm

How is wearing a bikini a RULE in the first bloody place? So they can't compete unless half their butt is hanging out? No problem with a general rule for attire but specifically REQUIRING competitors to wear a bikini clearly is a 'sex sells' move for those in charge of the sport

This whole thing makes me so mad. The idea that these young female athletes are being reduced to sex objects against their will or face repercussions is something I cannot believe is even happening. It's an outrage.
