The Transportation Security Administration also released a statement, saying, "TSA is aware of an incident involving a Federal Flight Deck Officer. Dunn was removed from the FFDO program.” Officials said Dunn was authorized to carry a gun through the TSA’s Federal Flight Deck Officer program, a practice put into place after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. After a disagreement between Dunn and the captain about a passenger medical event, Dunn told the captain "they would be shot multiple times if the Captain diverted the flight," the indictment states.
