Jake Swanepoel, a pilot who has been flying for nearly three decades, averted disaster after his single-engine Cessna plane lost power and flew dangerously close to rooftops of houses near Sydney’s Bankstown airport. Swanepoel and his partner Karin, a passenger on the flight, emerged unscathed after the incident.
As can be seen in the clip, the plane was very close to one of the trees, which Jake later confirmed the plane clipped on its way to the airport. The Cessna plane also missed a couple of planes and other ground vehicles before coming to a halt on the grass.
