Pike County Elementary school students are getting and education in farming outside the classroom. The students grow and care for their own crops and raise chickens too.“You have to make sure everything is one feet, two feet, or three feet apart, so they can grow and not get tangled up together,” added 4th grader Jalaziah.“We’re trying to become STEM accredited, so a lot of these activities are not just connected to the outside, but also the inside classroom too,” said Drish.
