Severe storms rolled through Central Ohio for several hours Wednesday night, triggering tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings across the region.
ABC 6's Sefenech Henok spent Thursday morning in Frazeysburg, in Muskingum County, getting a first look at the damage. "We've got multiple residences damaged, several businesses damaged, some have already been condemned by our building official," Muskingum County EMA Director Jeff Jadwin told Henok. "We had no deaths. We did have eight people hurt; four people agreed to go to the hospital for treatment. It's been a long night."
Jadwin added that almost the entire village lost power following the storms, but said it was starting to come back Thursday. "It was like a bomb went off," Frazeysburg resident Charlotte Jenkins told Henok. "Maybe 1 o'clock in the morning. I got scared and I thought, 'What in the world is going on?' I've been here probably 60 years and I've never seen it like this. It's terrible."Frazeysburg officials said they've seen strong storms outside the village but never anything this severe inside of it.This story will be updated.
