Fire at Garage on Beck bar and grill in Salt Lake City on Oct. 21, 2023. Crews responded to Salt Lake bar and grill that sparked fire Saturday morning, spewing flames and smoke from its rooftop.
Officials of the Salt Lake City Fire Department said that they were on scene of a working fire at Garage on Beck located at 1199 North Beck Street by 10:15 a.m. Oct. 21 . SLC Fire Division Chief Dan Walker told 2News that employees of Garage on Beck were in the building when the fire sparked, though they were able to evacuate safely on their own.Chief Walker said that the building received significant damage.
Salt Lake City police officers were blocking off traffic through North Beck Street while crews worked to extinguish the fames.The roadhouse grill and bar is known to be a repair shop-turned food and music hangout.
