A Phoenix man killed his wife, their young son and 6-month-old twin daughters, before fatally shooting himself inside the family’s home that was filled with cooking gas, police said.

According to officials, the two adults and three children had obvious signs of trauma, but the causes of death have not been released as of Friday.Facebook / Marla Hudgens A babysitter entered the family’s home in Phoenix Wednesday morning and discovered the five bodies inside.First responders found open propane tanks inside the residence and had to wait nearly 4 hours for HAZMAT teams to secure the scene.Police said there was open propane tanks inside the home and a gas line that wasn’t attached to a kitchen appliance.

Marla Hudgens was a well-regarded partner at the Phoenix law firm Lewis Roca. She was also heavily involved in charity work and coached a girls’ soccer team.
