Coronavirus Update: Philadelphia public schools bring back face-mask mandate

The news was announced Friday by Dr. William Hite, superintendent for the school district, who said it would remain in effect until further notice.

There are concerns that case numbers are even higher, as many people are now testing at home and the data is not being collected. While there has been progress, with 60% of the world’s population vaccinated, “it’s not over anywhere until it’s over everywhere,” Tedros said. In medical news, Pfizer PFE, +2.09% and BioNTech BNTX, +1.61% said three doses of their COVID-19 vaccine for children aged six months to five years “met all immunobridging criteria” required for Emergency Use Authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

So when is it over then, 100% vaccinations? That’s never gonna happen. So it looks like 60% immunity is herd, not 90% as Fauci claimed. Go figure that. But yes we must reach everyone.
