Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine works well in big ‘real world’ test

Reducing infections gives hope that the vaccine may curb spread of the virus, but this type of study can’t determine if that’s the case.

But how long will one jab afford that level of protection? In UK’s case the second jab will be given 12 weeks later - NOT the interval of 3-4 weeks Pfizer defined from their exhaustive study (prior to being granted a licence on efficacy of stated information)

Look, I want a vaccine that prevents infection, not one that lowers mortality rate of it. This disease causes long-term issues, even in minor cases. Oh, I plan on getting vaccinated. I just wish these vaccines actually protected against infection.
