PercyJackson author slams films: 'It's my life's work going through a meat grinder'

Riordan admitted that he’s never seen the movies, but doesn’t blame the actors for the flaws.

“I still have not seen the movies, and don’t plan on ever doing so,” Riordan tweeted. “I judge them from having read the scripts, because I care most about the story. I certainly have nothing against the very talented actors. Not their fault. I’m just sorry they got dragged into that mess.” Finally, I still have not seen the movies, and don't plan on ever doing so. The series is comprised of the books “The Lightning Thief,” “The Sea of Monsters,” “The Titan’s Curse,” “The Battle of the Labyrinth” and “The Last Olympian.” Riordan has also published the companion book “The Demigod Files” as well as “The Demigod Diaries.”

hello varety magazie! I am fun follower of ytour magazine issues and will enjoy apprearing on it this week. please.😏

The books are a shiny new toilet and the movies are like the toilet after I consume a tacobell fiery gordito and diarrhea uncontrollably for hours on end!

Wow, another way-years-old regretful movie... They sure know how to bring them out now with anger and blame.

Hmm, maybe these authors shouldn't be selling the rights for a paycheque in the first place if they can't handle adaptations.

LMFAOAOAOO i cant tell if that was a power move or not

dholakia_tanvi Jigsaw983 😂😂😂

I think the movies were so-so, but wow, he seems absolutely appalled by the existence of the movies, like he wishes whoever came up with idea gets arrested. They weren’t so terrible to me.

😂

Just like paolini's Eragon movie. Both deserve some type of remake. PJ- film, Eragon- TV Series.👍🏼

The reboot better be good. I WANT JUSTICE

I liked the books and the first movie but yeah the second was a trash fire garbage monster being held together by skunk feces after rotating in a microwave

well. hurts a bit 'cause I loved them. well, maybe just the first one.

How about you stop selling your rights to Hollywood if you don’t want them to mess up your work.

FilmGob Those films helped sell the books more.

He wrote about Greek Mythology, Egyptian Mythology and Norse Mythology. There is so much content.. Hollywood is seriously fuced up..

it's a damn shame, Logan Lerman was a good fit for the role, but they missed the chance to write a decent film

Join the fun

When was the last time there was a Percy Jackson film? Now he complains. But he got his money. Man sit down.

Slam is a strong word 🙄

He said, walking to the bank to cash them checks

Still cashed the check though I'd imagine

Yes we know, he has repeated the same thing for years. WE KNOW RICK

So why did he sell the rights of his works?. There is a very long list of writers which never sold their rights to movie producers.

As he should. Fox did his legendary books dirty

Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling Slammed for 'Targeting Trans People' in Her TweetsJ.K. Rowling has previously come under fire for supporting a British researcher who was fired for making anti-transgender comments Well she’s right 🤷‍♀️ I am so sick of crybabies. Just get off Twitter if this is too much for you. Then find some self esteem. So people can't have their own opinions now? Not everyone has the same opinions as you and being forced to push out politically correct PR statements doesn't actually equal change.
