Researchers from the National Institutes of Health analyzed 3 million antibody test results, also known as serology tests, from five commercial labs and two health care data analytics companies between January and August of 2020.The researchers found that people with positive antibody tests were only about one-tenth as likely as those who didn't have antibodies to test positive for the virus 90 days after their initial antibody test.
"The data from this study suggest that people who have a positive result from a commercial antibody test appear to have substantial immunity to SARS-CoV-2, which means they may be at lower risk for future infection," Dr. Lynne Penberthy, associate director of the National Cancer Institute's surveillance research program, who led the study, said in a statement.
According to the researchers, additional research is needed to understand how long that protection lasts, who may have less protection and how differences between patients, such as underlying conditions, might affect protection from reinfection.ABC News' Stephanie Ebbs contributed to this report.
Of course they will.. It's science folks. Wow. Lol
'important limitations to this study. In particular, the findings come from a scientific interpretation that may be better controlled for in a clinical trial. .. it is not known why people who had tested antibody positive went on to have a PCR test.

I was infected in June last year. January of this year I took a antibodies test and i tested positive. Everyone in my family was infected in December 2020 and January 2021. I was the only one who wasn’t infected yet I stay with them...
not much. a few months. I wonder if we are going to be rid of this virus for many many years.
Come on. This story is old and yea that’s what antibodies do, they boost your immune system to that virus. This is nothing new in the science world. This non sense has to stop.
How many steps in a Covid19-test process?
😆🤣😅😂🤣😅
It happened with me. I contracted Covid-19 last September and later when my whole family had it on November i was the only one at home who was negative and i was taking care of everone without masks or isolation.
Oh good?
Uh... duh? It's about 6 months. Whether you are ready to accept reality or not, reinfection after 6 months isn't 'rare'. Go check out a COVID group. Actual people who have actually had it. COVID antibodies last about 6 months. We will all need vaccine boosters.
