Texas Parks and Wildlife officials want visitors to enjoy the state's parks without leaving a trace — literally.

to remind the public that doing so is forbidden in state parks and at most national parks.

The agency's reminder vexed some in the comments who called the agency hypocritical.

Yeah, lots of people in prison for rock stacking. Really dangerous people. We have to keep them separated from the others, so they don't get into cups.

I fail to see the environmental damage here. They are mostly used to mark trails.
