Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoes bills on transgender athletes in school sports, poll watchers

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf on Friday rejected three bills passed by the Republican majority Legislature, vetoing measures regarding transgender athletes in school sports and poll watchers.

Wolf had previously warned he would strike down the bill to prohibit transgender athletes from playing sports that align with their gender identity. In his veto message, he said the bill would have"a devastating impact on a vulnerable population already at greater risk of bullying and depression." "This bill does nothing to increase access to voting," he wrote."Instead, this bill undermines the integrity of our election process and encourages voter intimidation."

Why is it just transgender males who want to compete against women? I don't recall any trans females competing against males in their sports. Gotta be a good reason? 🤔

Wolf is the epitome of weak leadership.

men belong in mens sports and women in women sports no matter what you wanna call your self or no matter what surgery you have you still born a male or female you can have surgery to be a female be your still a male no matter what.

So if okay for transgender athletes to participate in a sport under the gender they identify regardless of where they are in trans. Why not allow athletes to participate who are taking performance enhancement drugs?

If I was playing competitive sports I woul be pissed. It is an unfair advantage.

This sad Governor needs to be gone

How about all sports become a-gender? Women’s sports would disappear off the face of the earth.
