Pence: Border facility conditions are unacceptable

McAllen, Texas Vice President Mike Pence saw the overcrowded conditions facing migrant adults and children in Customs and Border Protection custody firsthand when the highest ranking member of the Trump administration visited two federal detention centers in Texas Friday ahead of controversial Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids targeting undocumented immigrants.

"To be honest with you, I was not surprised by what we saw," Pence told reporters Friday, citing the humanitarian crisis and congestion."This crisis is real, the time for action is now.

Glad Pence had the courage to go and see the conditions. Trump is too selfish and ignorant to go and see the mess he created. The time for action was months ago.

Well unlike his boss he can at least determine what a humanitarian crisis is. For Trump it is not enough pepperoni on his pizza.

So the President creates the problem and now we the people have to pay for it.

Of course, the Pence solution for the crisis is not to repeal the cruel TrumpRegiem policies that started all of this. It’s to build more cages. He doesn’t care about cruelty to brown people. He’s just another bigoted, racist, bible thumping Christian.

I suppose it is too much to expect that other migrants will not come after seeing the conditions of the detention camps.

At least he's aware of failed policy.

Trying to blame Congress instead of admitting that the mess was caused by failed policies of this administration, who chose to vilify immigrants, instead of finding a bipartisan way to change the laws. He is just as responsible as the rest of Trump & Co for this mess. Hypocrite!

The “crisis” is only due to how this administration has handled the high volumes...not because there are people wanting to come in. You can’t just prevent the last part of the process without addressing all the steps leading up to it.
