House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her top lieutenants on Wednesday unveiled a sweeping anti-corruption package that they're billing as a successor to post-Watergate reforms — updated for a potential post-Trump Washington.
The measure, which Democrats have dubbed the Protect Our Democracy Act, was offered by Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, Budget Chairman John Yarmuth, House Administration Chair Zoe Lofgren, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel, and House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal.
Another measure would reassert Congress' "power of the purse," limiting presidents' ability to block congressionally required spending — such as Trump's unilateral move to withhold $391 million in aid to Ukraine as he pressed the country's president to investigate Biden and other Democrats.

Her heart is in the right place. But, these reforms, if inacted, will just be used to constrain the Dems, should they take power. Instead they need to focus on winning big and how to right this awfully damaged ship of state.

Well, all of the GOP bots here seem to be claiming this will hurt Dems, so might I encourage them to contact their representatives to demand they pass it? Then we will see. Liberals don’t care about protecting corrupt Dems so that’s fine, but recent crimes have been 90% GOP.
Nancy is good at talking, PR, and ripping up speeches, but not got at passing legislation to help the workers, the children, the single parents, LBGT people.
