Pedestrian dead following crash in central Phoenix

responded to the area near Galvin Parkway and McDowell Road for a crash around 1 a.m. When officers got there, they found a pedestrian on the road who was dead and several vehicles stopped nearby.

A second vehicle, also heading west on McDowell, hit the pedestrian while he was lying on the road. The driver of the second vehicle stopped and called for help. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they want to remain anonymous. Arizona's Silent Witness program allows people to send in tips and share information about crimes happening within their local communities.

Anyone who has information on a crime or recognizes a suspect described by the program is asked to call 480-948-6377, go toor download the Silent Witness app to provide a tip. The identity of anyone who submits a tip is kept anonymous.
