We are paying it forward to another unsung hero in the community making a difference. Margaret Ward of Tallassee just retired after 46 years of driving the same school bus route. She's the Vance Law Firm's Pay It Forward honoree.

As the school year ended, Margaret Ward drove her last bus route for Tallassee City Schools after 46 years.

“She has always been a part of the community as far as the buses and students’ field trips, ball games. If that bus has moved, she’s probably been on it. But she has done a lot for the community,” said Scott Justiss.“I know she has had a lot of influence over the students she has put in a lot of work and dedication into molding them and try to be the best that they can be,” said her nominator Jamie Ward.“I guess the kids.
