A construction accident Wednesday night is the reason why some residents didn't have service. By Thursday morning, the problem had been resolved.

Water has been restored to areas in Pasadena that saw an outage due to an accident involving a contractor Wednesday night, city officials said.The accident happened Wednesday night on Preston at Southmore. Details of what happened were not elaborated.

This forced a water shutdown at certain addresses along Red Bluff between Harris and Southmore, the city said. Overnight, a portion of the intersection was taped off, along with a pile of dirt and a backhoe. No one was working at the time.Copyright © 2023 KTRK-TV. All Rights Reserved.
