Parler sues Amazon for suspending app from cloud service

"AWS’s decision to effectively terminate Parler’s account is apparently motivated by political animus," Parler claims in its filing. "AWS is violating Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act in combination with Defendant Twitter. AWS is also breaching it[s] contract with Parler, which requires AWS to provide Parler with a thirty-day notice before terminating service, rather than the less than thirty-hour notice AWS actually provided.

This illustration picture shows social media application logo from Parler displayed on a smartphone with its website in the background in Arlington, Virginia on July 2, 2020. Parler claims that it is being discriminated against because it is in direct competition with social media giant"Last month, Defendant Amazon Web Services, Inc. and the popular social media platform Twitter signed a multi-year deal so that AWS could support the daily delivery of millions of tweets. AWS currently provides that same service to Parler, a conservative microblogging alternative and competitor to Twitter," the filing reads.

"When Twitter announced two evenings ago that it was permanently banning President Trump from its platform, conservative users began to flee Twitter en masse for Parler. The exodus was so large that the next day, yesterday, Parler became the number one free app downloaded from Apple’s App Store." Parler went dark early Monday following AWS' decision to suspend Parler from its cloud hosting service.

Dry your evil, violent, and racist conspiracy conservative tears.

Change your term of services condemn violence and have implemented steps to remove some users. It’s that simple to be on any platform or buy few servers and disk and run your own data center

Parler better be careful. 1) Amazon can hire all the best law firms leaving no one for Parler 2) they can spend Parler into a hole. 3) 1st amendment doesn’t govern companies.

So let me get this straight: a far-right group of conservatives now want the government to step-in and regulate a private enterprise & tell them who they have to serve and do business with. These idiots continues to amaze me. No wonder ppl leave the Rep party daily.

It’s obvious that Parler was infiltrated with a mass uptick of folks looking to get the site taken down, just like Gab. Gab has proof this was happening & banned those users. Trump is just an excuse, it’s easier to kill competition if there’s a moral reason to hide behind.
