Delta Blues opened in 2019. It’s part of a family of restaurants including Pappadeaux and Pappasito’s.
The Family Table BBQ Feast at Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse in Plano was one way to get a little bit of everything, like brisket, ribs, chicken, turkey, pulled pork and several varieties of sausage. The restaurant was open on the side of the Dallas North Tollway in Plano from fall 2019 until early April 2024.The restaurant had been open in West Plano since September 2019.
“Texans are used to eating barbecue one way: at a counter waiting in line,” Christina Pappas, vice president of marketing, said nearly five years ago at the opening of Delta Blues. For customers who'd rather have Southern comfort food instead of smoked meat, Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse sold a chicken-fried Prime rib-eye.Ordering meat by the pound was an option at Delta Blues, as is typical with craft barbecue shops in Texas. But Delta Blues also sold steaks, catfish and a brisket-topped cheeseburger called the Pit Boss.
