Tesla Versus Electrify America: Which Is Faster?We use a CCS1 to Tesla adapter to charge a Tesla on an Electrify America station to see if it charges faster than on a Tesla V3 Supercharger. If you’re going to measure charging speed you have to measure THE WHOLE CHARGING EXPERIENCE. EA can’t weasel out of the fact that you have to squint and interact w/ their hard-to-read screen in the blazing sunlight. Rule: if your charging system has a built-in screen, you fail. I know which one is out of order half the time 🤬 So basically, with a CCS1 adapter Tesla's can charge quickly on EVERY single DC fast-charger in North America.
