Jurickson Profar, Jake Cronenworth, Manny Machado and Luke Voit are in the top four spots again, although Machado is DHing, Voit is at first base and Eric Hosmer, who was lifted for a pinch-runner in the matinee, is sitting against a left-hander on the mound.
Ha-Seong Kim is at shortstop and in the five-hole, Austin Nola will catch and bat sixth and Jose Azocar will start in right field after replacing Mazara against Rockies left-hander Lucas Gilbreath. Trent Grisham is again in center field and Sergio Alcántara, who pinch-ran for Hosmer and stayed in the game at second, will play third and bat ninth.
The Rockies have not yet posted their lineup for Game 2 but did announce some additional moves: right-hander Jake Bird up from Triple-A Albuquerque, infielder Elehuris Montero optioned out and right-hander Julian Fernandez designated for assignment.The Rockies’ 2014 first-rounder has a 3.00 ERA in four road starts this year, compared to 5.35 in seven start at Coors Field. Freeland has a 3.51 ERA in 41 career innings at Petco Park and is 3-5 with a 3.96 ERA in 15 appearances against the Padres.
