Padres, Dodgers have split first two games of series at Dodger Stadium; Fernando Tatis Jr. enjoying success in Los Angeles

Three years ago, Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a 467-foot home run out of Dodger Stadium, a blast that the officials in Chavez Ravine have commemorated with a plaque out in the pavilion. It’s a fitting tribute, one that a lot of professional organizations would likely ignore had it had anything to do with a team’s rival performing on their turf. Thing is, Dodger Stadium is Tatis’ turf.

” Tatis has been locked into the two-hole all season, which is where he is at a rain-slicked Dodger Stadium for Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. First pitch is at 4:10 p.m. Xander Bogaerts is back in the lineup after a day off and in the leadoff spot as center fielder Jackson Merrill returns to the eight-hole. Catcher Luis Campusano is back in the lineup batting seventh and Eguy Rosario is in the lineup at third base and in the nine-hole against Dodgers left-hander James Paxton.
